On a bright Sunday morning
a small discussion began between
Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Poe and Elizabeth
as they took a break from artistic endeavors to
inspire this relic poet who dreams
often screams, but not too loud.
Lip painting takes a great deal of time
said Leonardo
Painting a ceiling also takes time to complete
said Michelangelo
I was never really insane except upon occasions when my heart was touched
said Poe
Who so loves believes the impossible
said Elizabeth.
I said
nothing
my words can also be read
long after I’m dead.
