Yesterday this appeared

Yesterday this appeared in my lens

and vision

offering up a smile

and to watch it enjoy nectar

reserved for honey bees.

Whether it knows I exist

matters little but what does is

we both found peace in a moment

though it happens many times each day

just like a memory causes a smile

patiently to return.
