I’ll meet you there

Meet me at the corner of
Riverside and Lemay
at the corner of Hope,
meet me at a cafe
somewhere in Old Town
where the sound of
pretentious chatter, a car horn
drowns out broken things.

Meet me at the corner of
sunrise and sunset
during the fall, where nothing
moves except the torrent of
gold and copper from the trees.
Meet me in that perfect moment
of laughter and smiles
where the sidewalk ends
where the sky and the rest
of our lives begin.

A corner where each word we speak is
fashioned from silver
so that our conversation is like
conducting a symphony
of beautiful chimes
where love, compasion blooms
each morning and noon
 late into the night.

We’ll gather up forever and ever
where a dog’s day meets
the cat’s meow
discuss our relationship
and I’ll give you my love is
and you’ll give me your poetry
about meeting the man of
your dreams.

I’ll meet you there.

I’ve never seen this Dali. It’s wonderful!
